As a woman, struggling with mental health can be an overwhelming and difficult experience. It can be especially isolating, as many of us feel like we have to put on a brave face and be strong in order to make it through the day. We often feel like we have to have it all together, and that asking for help or admitting we’re struggling is a sign of weakness.
This sense of isolation is only worsened by the stigma surrounding mental health. Even when we do reach out for help, we may still feel like we are not being taken seriously, or that our concerns are being dismissed. It can be incredibly discouraging and lead to further feelings of hopelessness and despair.
The truth is, we all struggle with our mental health from time to time.
